Wiz Khalifa is morphing into a 70′s icon. He released the cover to his new album, “O.N.I.F.C” last night via twitter to mixed reactions. The cover is very Jimi Hendrix but it also reminds me of the stage Andre 3000 went through image wise before he really catapulted into a huge crossover artist. We may chuckle and scratch our heads now, but we’ll totally get it later. Maybe.
It’s that time of year again. MTV rolls out its “Hottest MC Nominees of 2011″ list and it is not without controversy again. While it includes the normal heavy hitters like Rick Ross, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, I also has artists we barley saw in 2011 like Jadakiss and Maino. It also excludes Grammy nominee J.Cole.
Cole is Nominated for “Best New Artist” at this years Grammy’s. Isn’t that considered hot?
Here are the rest of the nominees.
Hmmmm… Somethings Missing.
Remember the straight to DVD western flick “Gang of Roses?” Featured Lisa Raye, Lil’ Kim, Stacey Dash & Monica Calhoun? Fine chick on horses? No? Ok well I don’t either. I got most of that from the poster and clips from BET.
Well if you missed the first one don’t worry because someone decided to make a part 2! Amber Rose can now add actress to her list of accomplishments (HA!), which included singing and dating rappers. Rose stars along side 106th and Park co-host Rocsi Diaz, singer Teyana Taylor and Rose’s boyfriend, rapper Wiz Khalifa. Another Christopher Wallace jump-off is in the film as Charlie Baltimore makes an appearance in the film as well.
Check out quite possibly the worst trailer of the year right here.
I can’t wait till they premiere this on BET!
I don’t know why it took this long but Amber Rose through celebrity gossip columnist Perez Hilton has release her very first single “Fame” featuring her booski Wiz Khalifa. Check out the audio here!
To the “lucky” person that would love to have this joint in their Ipod you can download it here.
I was using the term luck loosely.
Wayne may have had the highest selling album of the year but when it comes to quality the folks at Rap Radar are looking elsewhere. Weezy heads the highly respected blog’s list of the “Top Disappointing albums of 2011.” Citing “hit-and-miss bars, poor production choices and a plethora of guests who outshine” many believe that the 4th installment of the Carter series was the worst.
Also on the list Chicago’s own Lupe Fiasco and his Grammy award winning album “Lasers.” Lasers is Lupe’s highest selling album but even the rapper wasn’t too found of this one. I wonder how hardcore Lupe fans will feel about this one.
Was the Carter 4 the most Disappointing of 2011? Vote here!
