Ignorant News: Chicago Teen Shoots Himself, Blames Ninjas

An Illinois teen who was injured in a shooting Friday is believed to have shot himself, officials said.

The 17-year-old boy from Elmwood Park was taken to Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Ill., with a gunshot wound to his left groin area when he reportedly told police he was shot by two men wearing ninja masks.

Police investigated, talked to witnesses and reviewed surveillance but found no evidence of the attack. The boy, who has gang ties, confessed that he was driving in a car and playing with a gun when it discharged in his lap, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Medical personnel said the wound reflected self-infliction and officials are working to determine where the incident occurred to determine which police agency has jurisdiction over the case, according to the Tribune.

Stripper Steals Cab Then Leads Police On A Wild Chase

mistyyow

This is one of those stories when you hear it you wanna know everything that happened and damn near in detail.

In Pekin, IL ( a town outside of Peoria) the police chased an exotic dancer (yes stripper) for 20 miles who stole a taxicab from a motel before they had to bump the back end of the cab causing her to spin out.  Now check this out.

Pekin police Sgt. Courtney Hutchinson said police were notified at 3:07 a.m. Sunday by a Yellow Checker cab driver that an “extremely intoxicated” woman who was an “exotic dancer” had taken his cab. A patrol officer spotted the vehicle traveling the wrong way in the 1000 block of Court Street.

The officer tried to stop the cab, which was being driven by Misty Light-Yow, continued down Court Street at about 40 mph before turning into the Pekin Community Bank parking lot in the 600 block of Court and allegedly hit a barrier at the corner of the building.

The cab pulled back onto Court Street and turned into the parking lot of Court Place Apartments in the 200 block of Court Street and went out the exit on South Second Street. Hutchinson said Light-Yow increased her speed to 60 mph as she continued south on Illinois Route 29. There was no traffic on the road, so officers continued the pursuit, said Hutchinson.

Officers deployed spike strips on Route 29 north of Main Street in South Pekin, puncturing the front right tire. While that forced the vehicle to slow down, it continued south. Officers again deployed spike sticks at Route 29′s intersection with Illinois Route 122. The left tire blew, but she continued driving on flat tires, said Hutchinson.

Near County Road 3800 East, a police car hit the back corner of the cab, causing it to spin and stop.

As officers tried to pull Light-Yow from the vehicle, she continued pushing the gas pedal, causing the tires to spin. She was warned that if she did not stop resisting, officers would use a Taser gun. She did not stop, and officers tazed her. Hutchinson said it fazed her for a few moments, but she was wearing a thick coat and it didn’t work for long.

Light-Yow, who was uninjured, was taken to Pekin Hospital. She allegedly kicked one officer and spit on another. She refused all sobriety tests. Officers said they found drug paraphernalia and marijuana when they searched her. Hutchinson said there were no injuries associated with the chase, so hospital staff could not take fluid samples for blood alcohol analysis when she refused.

This is a list of the charges she received after being arrested. She was arrested for driving under the influence, aggravated battery, resisting and obstructing police, aggravated fleeing and eluding, driving on a suspended license, criminal damage to property, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, motor vehicle theft and 11 traffic violations.

Hutchinson said she would not tell police why she was at the hotel or why she took the cab. Can we basically go on record and say that she was gone off of that OOOOH WEEEEE ! !

Ignorant News: Exotic Fish Found In Illinois Biting Fisherman’s Nuts

When biologists say the pacu fish eats nuts, they may be correct in more ways than one.

The pacu, a toothy fish that can weigh up to 55 pounds, has been spotted in Lake Lou Yaeger in Illinois, KSDK reports.

Responding to a report that a fisherman had reeled in a piranha on June 7, lake superintendent Jim Caldwell brought the fish to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, where it was identified as a pacu. Some reports say another pacu was seen a couple of weeks later.

Caldwell said he is still swimming in the lake nearly every day. Pacus primarily eat nuts, aquatic vegetation and snails, he told KDSK, and pose no real threat to humans.

Residents of Papua New Guinea may beg to differ. There, according to British fisherman Jeremy Wade, the pacu is known as the “ball cutter.” In 2011, Wade said locals informed him that two fisherman had died from blood loss after something in the water had bitten off their testicles, according to the Metro.

“The locals told me that this thing was like a human in the water, biting at the testicles of fishermen,” Wade said.

Ignorant News: Naperville Man Drives Over 100MPH To Have Sex

One can only wonder whether Zachary P. Ramirez has a slow hand to go with that apparently lead foot of his.

The 21-year-old motorist got pulled over recently by Naperville police, after a patrol officer clocked him driving 111 mph through a section of the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, where the speed limit is posted at 45 mph.

As traffic cops are wont to do, police asked Ramirez where he was going in such a hurry. Ramirez reputedly replied he was “trying to go have sex with a girl he liked.”

Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said Ramirez’s troubles began about 2:06 a.m. Saturday, when an officer was on patrol and on the lookout for speeders along a stretch of Plainfield-Naperville Road.

The officer noted a black, 1994 Honda Prelude driving north from 87th Street, Bell said via e-mail. The officer’s radar unit initially clocked the car traveling at 104 mph “and finally locked at 111 (mph),” he said.

Bell said the motorist, later identified as Ramirez, continued driving north after running a red light at the intersection of 75th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road. Ramirez also allegedly ran a stop sign before a second officer curbed his car near Oswego and River roads in the Countryside neighborhood.

Ramirez, “when asked why he was traveling so fast, replied he was trying to go have sex with a girl he liked,” Bell said.

To add to his woes, police allegedly found 0.2 grams of marijuana during a search of his car.

Ramirez lives on the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, in the Country Lakes area of Naperville’s far northwest side. He faces trial on charges of speeding 40 mph or more over the statutory limit, possession of 2.5 grams or less of marijuana, reckless driving, disobeying a traffic control signal and disobeying a stop sign, according to records on file in DuPage County Circuit Court in Wheaton.

Court records indicated Ramirez’s only other brush with the law occurred in March 2010, when Naperville police ticketed him for speeding 15 to 20 mph over the limit. He was fined and placed on supervision a month later in that case, records showed.

Ramirez is free on $200 bond. His arraignment date is pending.
