Cuba Gooding, Jr Allegedly Pushes Bartender, Warrant Issued

Cops in New Orleans have issued an arrest warrant for actor Cuba Gooding, Jr after he was accused of shoving a female bartender early yesterday morning.

The New Orleans Police Department says a misdemeanor battery warrant was issued after cops received a complaint that Cuba got physical at The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street around 2:00 AM.

A witness at the bar tells us … the “Jerry Maguire” actor became upset with some bar patrons who recognized him and had been taking pictures.

We’re told Cuba began cussing at the people … so a female bartender approached the actor and asked him to leave.

But the witness says Cuba didn’t go quietly … and shoved the bartender against a wall.

One of the bartender’s co-workers called 911 … but no arrests were made at the scene.

According to police, the bartender claims she informed Cuba that the cops were on the way … and that he needed to leave. The bartender claims Gooding pushed her again, and left the bar.

Now, cops are under orders to arrest Cuba on sight.

Cuba is currently in New Orleans to film “The Butler” with Oprah Winfrey.

Red Tails Brings In Over 19 Million in the Box Office

The numbers show that the people came out to support the movie “Red Tails.” The flick featuring Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr, Oscar Nominee Terrence Howard along with Ne-Yo, Nate Parker & Tristan Wilds finished the weekend 2nd behind the Vampire sequel “Underworld Awakening” with over 19 million dollars in the box office.

The movie didn’t come without controversy. In an interview on The Daily Show on Jan 9, 2012, The Movie’s producer, George Lucas revealed that the long delay in the production of the film was because the major film studios balked at financing and marketing a film with an “all-black” cast and “no major white roles.”

Well the movie did better than expected but can is sustain the momentum into week two?
