Congregation opens gun range behind church

An Alabama congregation has turned the “small ‘Grand Canyon'” behind their church into an unusual ministry: a gun range.

Phillip Guin, pastor of the Rocky Mount United Methodist Church in Jemison, said the Rocky Mount Hunt and Gun Club behind the church started out as a gully filled with kudzu, snakes and other pests.

“We have had this large hole in the back of our property at the church for quite some time, and we thought it would be neat to start a gun range,” Guin told the Clanton Advertiser newspaper. “The hole was primarily filled with kudzu, and had been used at one time to get fill dirt for the new facility that was built on the end of our church building.”

He said the range was originally used as a facility to teach gun safety to church members.

“We had quite a number of church members, some elderly ladies, for example, and some not so elderly women that had purchased guns, but didn’t know how to use them,” Guin told WIAT-TV.

He said the safety classes evolved into a ministry, the Rocky Mount Hunt and Gun Club.

“This is an opportunity for us to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ in a setting that is completely unique. Even odd by some people’s standards. But who’s to say that church can’t happen right here,” Guin said.

Guin said the group is looking to offer safety classes to the public in the future.

“Really, the whole purpose of this range is to provide recreational and gun safety in a warm, loving, Christian environment,” Guin said. “We wanted to come up with some different ideas to help our church grow, and we thought this would be a unique ministry to offer to the community.”

“Right now, we are just really happy with how everything turned out,” Guin said. “We found a use for the small ‘Grand Canyon’ behind our church, and turned it into something that is pretty cool.”

Australian Couple Threatens Divorce If Same-Sex Marriage Passes

rainbowflagIn the midst of the world now taking a stand on Same-Sex marriage it now has gotten where everyone isn’t on board with their country promoting equality.

An Australian man said an expected parliament vote on same-sex marriage later this year would “force” him to divorce his wife if the measure passes.

Nick Jensen wrote in an opinion piece for the Canberra CityNews that he and his wife, Sarah, have decided they will get a divorce if the country approves marriage rights for gay and lesbian Australians.

“The decision to divorce is not one we’ve taken lightly. And certainly, it’s not one that many will readily understand. And that’s because it’s not a traditional divorce,” he wrote.

Jensen, a former employee of the Australian Christian Lobby, said he and his wife will continue to live together, raise their children together and will still consider themselves “married by the Church and before God.”

“The reason, however, is that, as Christians, we believe marriage is not a human invention. Our view is that marriage is a fundamental order of creation. Part of God’s intimate story for human history. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman before a community in the sight of God. And the marriage of any couple is important to God regardless of whether that couple recognizes God’s involvement or authority in it.

My wife and I, as a matter of conscience, refuse to recognize the government’s regulation of marriage if its definition includes the solemnization of same sex couples.”

The Canberra CityNews, which printed a photo of Nick and Sarah Jensen on its cover, has come under fire online for publishing the article, which many have branded “homophobic.”

Ian Meikle, editor of the magazine, defended the decision to run the piece.

“I think this couple had an interesting angle, and that it was newsworthy,” he told news.com.au.

“The article does not reflect the opinion of the paper. We published arguments and I decided it was a serious enough argument to genuinely warrant some attention,” he said. “It’s an unusual love story, and what would life be if people didn’t have different ways of life.”

Man I wonder how many American men may try to get this to follow suit if they pass Same Sex marriage across the board nation wide.

You knew that some  people were excited and some were religious skeptics and hell I even thought she was pregnant but a surrogate chick was, but this right here is INSANE ! ! !

So in the GOOD OLE SOUTH Beyonce‘s new baby Blue Ivy Carter is being considered as the devil incarnate, this is what someone decided to put on the front of a church sign in North Carolina . They decided to put on the sign  “Beyonce had her baby. Satan is on Earth.”

The pastor at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End, NC says  he only found out about the sign after receiving numerous complaints from locals — and removed it immediately.

Now the pastor insists, the church had nothing to do with the apocalyptic message … it was simply the victim in a random act of mischief. So basically the pastor is saying that someone is running around with a box full of signage letters just waiting for the perfect opportunity to change the message from the church announcements.

My money is on the janitor, most of them are old surly and believe satan exists in every young person and three of the surviving members of DeBarge.

The internet and all social media networks have been FLOODED by what people believe the spawn of dance sweat and camel spit to look like and IT AINT PRETTY here’s an example…….
