Jay Washington & J.R. Bang got the opportunity to sit and talk with Fayth Caruso Pilates instructor at Sixpax Core Studios located in the South Loop of Chicago.  Fayth talked about the difference between Yoga and Pilates, how the core of the body is by far the most important part to work on.

Mickey Mantle’s Outstanding Experience Told To The New York Yankees

Anybody who is a baseball enthusiast or a fan know who the legendary Mickey Mantle is. The former New York Centerfielder is known as the greatest switch-hitter (he can hit the ball from the right or left side-get your mind out the gutter) in history, has the most home runs ever in a World Series (18), career leader in walk-off home runs (13) just to name a few.  A you can also add (in a Samuel L Jackson voice) “THE “MUTHA F**KIN MAN” to that list after you check this out.

In something that solidifies not just how great of a player he was, but dammit how smoothed out and pimp-tight he is a letter was released written by Mickey Mantle depicting his most  outstanding experience at Yankee Stadium. This was in response to a request from then-Vice-President of the New York Yankees, Bob Fishel, and asked to contribute to the Yankee Stadium’s forthcoming 50th anniversary celebrations. You know that expression taken from that great bible verse “Ask and you shall receive” well check out the letter sent by Fishel and then check out the response from Mantle.

As you probably know, 1973 marks the 50th anniversary of Yankees Stadium and we are going to have a season-long Golden Anniversary celebration. We hope to mark the occasion on our Old Timers Day, Saturday, August 11, as well as on individual dates during the season.

We thought it would be interesting to learn from you what you consider your outstanding event at Yankee Stadium. In many cases the answer is obvious, but because we are writing a large number of your former team mates, we are asking you to answer this question for us.

1973 will be the final season at Yankee Stadium as we know it. We will be located at Shea in 1974 and ’75 while Yankee Stadium is completely rebuilt to reopen in 1976.

Thanks for your cooperation. We are looking forward to seeing you in 1973 and wish you a happy holiday season.

All I’m saying I believe all of these athletes would be either LEGENDARY or drained if this happened in every sport. But nonetheless it makes you realize why baseball is called “America’s Past-time” because i know thats one way I for damn sure would love to kill time.

Jay Washington Interviews Chicago Bears Charles Tillman &More for the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation

Jay Washington was able to be present at Kings Bowling Lounge in Rosemont, IL for the presentation of $10,000 donated by Kings Lounge to Chicago Bears Cornerback Charles Tillman and to his Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation. The donation was presented to Mr. Tillman by C.O.O (Chief Operating Officer) of Kings Bowl of America ,Frank Stryjewski. Also present was one of the families that are helped out by the Foundation in little 10 year old Emily and her mother Nadiya.

Jay Washington had the opportunity to get CHAMPIONS in the studio. By Champions the 2012 GFL (Gridiron Football League) Champions the Chicago Chaos.  In the studio was the Vice President/Director of Marketing Rick Szemore as well as players Cornerback/Safety Louis Stallworth and Running Back Jesse Daniel (who showed up late).

They spoke on recruitment process, difference between their league, arena and indoor football. Motivation to play as well as expectations for the upcoming season.

Jay Washington was joined in studio by Adam Knoll and via phone with Rick Starosta of the Gridiron Football League. They spoke about the upcoming tournament that they are holding in Kenosha, Wisconsin at Mahone Stadium on Saturday April 20th.

They spoke on how long the league has been in existence, the difference in rules as comparison to arena football and how the tournament itself is different from the traditional tournament and what can be expected.

This has recently become a day in age where there is seemingly less and less for Chicagoland youth to be involved in to avoid being caught in the madness that lies present within Chicago streets.  Many on a worldwide stage have heard of the violence that plagues Chicago’s youth on a daily basis so it is truly refreshing to find individuals with a genuine concern to find alternate solutions instead of the same dead end that many children feel that they are destined to be involved in.

Jeff Hunt and John Singleton have come together to form the J.J.Y.A youth pro camp, which meshes both football as well as track & field events.  Along with the two men Jay was able to speak with Formed Chicago Bear Tight End Desmond Clark, who talks why he got involved with the cause and how violence has affected him as well.

We talk about how track & field is used more in football then people tend to give credit for.

With almost three decades within the stand up comedy game and still going strong it was an honor to talk to a comedian the caliber of Dom Irrera.  From having gotten his first big break back in 1989 to being a consistent working comedian today and appealing to any and all types of crowds, Dom has seemingly found the key to longevity in the business.

Dom and Jay Washington talk about his appeal to the college comedy demographic and then the conversation goes into great deal about sports. Dom who is an avid sports fan talks with Jay about the Rutgers incident, Brittney Griner, Brian Urlacher and even the new long-standing debate of Lebron vs Michael Jordan.

Louisville Basketball Player Suffers Gruesome Injury

So allow me to set the scene for you. Indianapolis Indiana, the road to the Final Four of the NCAA Championship runs thru Lucas Oil Stadium. The Louisville Cardinals took to the court against the Duke Blue Devils, in a matchup that seemed almost as anticipated as the championship itself.

Well With 6:33 in the first half the game took a very strange and almost horrific turn when Louisville Guard while attempting to block a shot suffered a HORRIBLE (make you jump and cringe injury to his right leg. This adds to the almost long list of horrific leg breaks that have occurred in the world of professional sports. So we here at Educated Insanity decided to show you what happened  (keep in mind this is intended in HUMOR…..so dont get your panties in a bunch), with a little montage as enhanced by  HIP HOP LEGEND, Kurtis Blow.

Oh yeah after the injury Louisville went on to beat Duke 85-63 to advance to the Final Four.

Well this best of is only for one day, because we only hit the airwaves one day.  But nonetheless we had some wild ignorant news stories, a heated discussion when it came to the Chicago Bulls breaking the Miami Heat’s win streak, what does it mean for the Bulls future.  There were alot of laughs and even a visit by our get friend Ernie Scatton.
