The entire music and entertainment industry is in a state of shocking disbelief and mourning over the Thursday morning announcement that former Founder and chief executive of Violator Management/Brand Asset Group, Chris Lighty was found dead in his apartment from a gunshot wound to the head.

What has even begun to strike a harder blow is the news that the gunshot wound to the head was self -inflicted and the gun was found next to the body, making Lighty’s death an apparent suicide.  It is being said that the shooting came after an argument that Chris has with his ex-wife Veronica. More details are emerging by the moment.

Chris is noted for being linked to the success of many world renowned and multi-platinum recording artists such as: 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey, Q-Tip, Mya, Fantasia, Diggy Simmons just to name a few.

This just goes to show that we never truly know what a person is experiencing in their personal life to the point where they feel the weight is to much and they can not bare life anymore.
