Legendary Female Hip Hop Pioneer Ms. Melodie Dead

 

 

 

 

Hip Hop has lost another member of its founding family.  Ms Melodie, born Ramona Parker was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn and was  former member of Boogie Down Productions and ex-wife of Hip Hop Pioneer KRS-ONE.

Ms. Melodie released her first single in back in 1988 called “Hype According to Ms. Melodie” and one album, Diva in 1989.  Her video “Live On Stage” was one of her biggest hits and she made a memorable appearance on the 1989 single “Self Destruction” and also had a cameo in Queen Latifah’s video “Ladies First.”

Cause of death is unknown at this moment R.I.P to a definite legend and as previously said HIP HOP PIONEER

Jay has recently been featured doing segments on various podcasts and now host his own weekly internet radio show “Educated Insanity”.
