The ‘Salt and Ice Challenge’ Lands Another Victim

I felt this little disclaimer was needed but at the same time you are going to really need to see whats going on.

In the line of dumb made up teenage games, this one right here has to rank high above the rest and has now taken the country by storm and via Facebook, Youtube as well as other social media sites gotten presumably worse.

A 12 year old boy from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania sustained 2nd degree burns from playing the “Salt and Ice Challenge”. This is where teenage kids press salt and ice against their skin for as long as they can tolerate the burning pain or until the injury – which is similar to frostbite–becomes too severe.  If this isn’t by far thee most emo thing I have ever heard of next to just flat out cutting yourself then I don’t know what is.

He was engaging in the fad with his brother and his friends and according to doctors he will need several months to completely recover.  From the looks of this photo, he’s gonna be left with a permanent “YOU’RE A DUMBASS” mark
