It’s only five days until Nicki Minaj releases “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” so last night she took over the American Idol stage to perform her Top 10 single, “Starships”. She turned the stage into a dance party, lead by the choreography of LaurieAnn Gibson, as she sung the family-friendly happy tune while parading the stage in a colorful mermaid outfit.
Earlier this year, she sent the song over to Ryan Seacrest to premiere on his show while telling him:
It feels right. It just feels good. It makes people feel happy and that’s all I want. I want to start the year off with making people feel good. The [Grammy] performance was the performance, that was my clear craziness, and now it’s time to make people dance and have fun, and that’s all I want to do.
